Akshaya Jagannath
Akshaya Jagannath is ESR 2. Akshaya’s project is ‘Production of micro/nano structured surface on plastic microfluidic chip for immobilisation of proteins’.
Background: Akshaya has an undergraduate in Industrial Biotechnology and Masters (by research) in Chemical Engineering with 3 years of industry experience in developing diagnostics for infectious diseases and chronic inflammation using molecular and immunoassays. Akshaya has a strong background in assay development, clinical validation and scale up of molecular assays.
Research Interests: Akshaya is interested in developing molecular assays on microfluidic platforms with a focus on sustainable and scalable technologies. Akshaya applied to ESR 2 position to understand and leverage these sustainable technologies for pathogen detection. She also enjoys solving interdisciplinary challenges that comes with point of care devices.
